Re: Pedestrian Crossing St Margarets Roundabout
Firstly I'd like to apologise for the apparent delay in responding. Clearly my IT skills are not as good as I thought, the first post not appearing.
With regard to your enquiry, one of our traffic colleagues has conducted research and found only one accident involving the injury to a pedestrian for the last 36 months. Clearly, that is one accident too many but it does not flag the roundabout up as a particular concern. There are obvious limitations to our data. Only injury accidents are recorded and there is no tally for "might", "almost" or "possibly". Our traffic colleague has already forwarded the issue to TfL when raised by Mr Cannings. If we re informed of any developments I will let you know.
In the meantime, I would urge you to keep taking care at the crossing even when you have priority. For our part, we will regularly visit the junction and deal with any violations we discover.
