St Stephen's is an Anglican church serving the parish of East Twickenham in the Diocese of London. We certainly honour and are grateful for this long history and tradition, but it's important for us that we are working in increasingly close relationship with local Christian churches of all denominations.

It's a neighbourhood church enjoying strong links with the local communities of St Margaret's and East Twickenham. Key links include St Stephen's Junior School, community use of our 'CrossWay' hall, marriage and parenting courses which are open to all, and midweek and holiday activities for children and young people.

We're an inclusive church - “an all-age community of diverse individuals” as our values statement puts it. Which means that whatever your age, background, social or marital status, and wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we want to welcome and include you in this fellowship, and help you to make friends and become settled here.

More than anything, we hope to be a loving church, enabling you to draw closer to the life-changing love of God which we see in Jesus and in the work of his Holy Spirit. Very many people at St Stephen's can testify themselves to the power of this love, healing and restoring their lives and bringing a new freedom and peace.

  • At 9.15 am we have a fairly traditional service, with hymns, psalms and other music. Teaching follows the morning preaching series. There's a Holy Communion on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month. A creche, and groups for children and young people (up to 14) are provided.
  • At 11 am we have a more informal service of worship and teaching, following the same preaching series as the 9.15. There's a Holy Communion service on the 2nd Sunday, and an All Age service on the 3rd. A creche, and groups for children and young people (up to 14) are provided.
  • At 6.30 pm we have an informal service of worship and teaching, with Holy Communion on the 4th Sunday of the month. We are delighted that a large number of young people and young adults attend this service. We also have a youth Service called “Refine” on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
  • On the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month we have a service for healing and encouragement at 10.30 am (with Holy Communion on the 4th Thursday).
