Lynn's Bowel Cancer Campaign

Lynn's Bowel Cancer Campaign is a small charity with HUGE dreams - founded by former Watchdog presenter Lynn Faulds Wood, who beat advanced bowel cancer. Lynn has campaigned strenously over the last ten years to raise awareness of this cruel disease and to save lives

Lynn knows what advanced cancer feels like, as she was lucky to survive it, and it is our mission to help prevent this common cancer, encourage earlier diagnosis through the best symptoms' advice and screening plus helping to improve standards of surgery/treatment and improving lives of patients and their carers, at every stage of our journey through bowel cancer

To date, Lynn has helped to produce new advice on the symptoms of bowel cancer, different than doctors learned in medical school - advice officially adopted by the Dept of Health in 2000. With her volunteers, she has helped to send out over 2 million leaflets. She has also helped to change the way doctors learn to use endoscopy equipment, helping to set up formal training courses and training centres around the country
