Tidefest 2015 Poster

TideFest is a new River Thames event which took place for the first time in 2014 on World Rivers Day to highlight the recreational importance of the Thames to Londoners. TideFest 2015 takes place on September 20th at Chiswick, Kew, Brentford, Barnes, Isleworth and at other locations along the Thames Tideway. TideFest is organised by river and wildlife organisations and is part of the Totally Thames Festival and is sponsored by Thames Tideway Tunnel and Thames Water.

There are a lot of family family activities going on including:

  • Stand up paddleboarding
  • Kayak tasker sessions
  • Kempton nature reserve community day
  • Community activities at Strand-on-the-Green
  • Get Hooked on Fishing activities on the foreshore
  • Angling match at Strand-on-the-Green and Barnes (ticketed)
  • Archeology and guided walks, Strand-on-the-Green to Brentford (ticketed)
  • visit Olivers Island (ticketed event, limited numbers)
  • Lot’s Ait Boatyard tour (ticketed)
  • Isleworth Ait visit (ticketed)
  • Windrush boat trips around the Thames Islands (ticketed)
  • Music and Food
  • Freshwater Fish Displays
