The historic riverside town of Kingston upon Thames will be alive with music, dance, theatre and arts performances next month during the sixth annual International Youth Arts Festival. The 23-day festival is the UK’s premier international showcase for outstanding young local, national and international artists and will feature an explosion of talent at venues across the town from 6th and 28th July.

Festival Highlights include: a ‘Workshop Week’ from 6th to 11th July offering a range of fun and inclusive events such as the K Games’ on 6th July, where contestants can show off their skills on BMX bikes, skateboards, roller-blades and scooters, with live music, a barbecue and plenty of prizes to be won.
Not to be missed is “Raise the Roof’” night on 12th July showcasing the very best of the 2013 festival as well as the IYAF Kingston Carnival on 14th July featuring dancers and giant puppets and ‘Kinetic Visions’ on 20th July – an evening of contemporary, jazz, street and classic dance acts from the UK and abroad.
The festival programme is also packed with theatre, comedy, poetry, visual arts, film, fashion and crafts events, with plenty for all the family to enjoy.
